Are treatments suitable for all ages?

The minimum age for treatments is 18, there is no upper age limit.

How long do appointments last?

Depending on the treatment, some aesthetic procedures can last 30minutes, right up to some treatments taking 3 hours.

How long do I need to wait between appointments?

This depends on what treatment you have selected, further details are in each of the sections below.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

This is likely, but will depend on the treatment. All treatments are followed up with at home aftercare, which includes do’s and don’ts for certain activities. You may feel a little tired, potentially slightly tender in places, but mostly downtime will be for visual reasons. If you have facial microneedling for example your face will likely be pink for up to 12 hours.

Do I need to do any prep before treatments?

Drink plenty of water, hydration is beneficial for healing, blood flow, and overall cellular health. Please eat prior to treatments. If you smoke, please try to avoid or cut down wherever possible prior to your appointment and 48 hours afterwards, this is due to the effect on your bodys immediate healing response.

How do I book an appointment?

Is the booking fee refundable?

If you cancel your appointment with 72hours+ notice then your booking fee is returned to you. Any cancellations within 72 hours of your appointment will not be reimbursed. The cost of the booking fee will be deducted from any treatment you have.

Will the scar vanish?

No, it won't disappear entirely, however I aim to make the scar undetectable at arms length.

How old does my scar need to be to be treated?

Usually 15months+ this is because the scar will still be healing up to this point and sometimes even longer. It would be pointless to treat the scar earlier as it will interrupt your body's natural healing process and you could even find at the end of 15months that your scar isn't as noticeable and doesn't need treatment.

Is there anything that can be done about my scars before 15 months?

Yes, medical makeup can be applied to cover and mask the scar. This is waterproof and can last up to 3 days. If you would like to explore this option further I can camouflage your scar in this way for a special event, or show you how to do this yourself and order the correct colours in for you to do this at home.

What technique do you use?

I use medical needling for scar treatment, this includes the use of highly specialised medical grade serums - usually polynucleotides / exosomes / peptides. All treatments are customised not just for the person, but for each individual scar. 

Do you do inkless tattooing?

That term doesn't accurately reflect the customised treatment, but some people do refer to the treatment in that way.

Is skin camouflage a tattoo?

It is similar to a tattoo, but how and where the ink is placed is different. I will spend time with you mixing your personalised skin colours to suit your skin tone to ensure the best possible blend with surrounding skin. I also aim to match your skin's appearance with finer details such as freckles and different levels of pigmentation.

Does the treatment hurt?

Everyone is different and every scar is different, but the one thing they have in common is there are very few nerve endings in scar tissue, meaning that there is very little to no feeling in scars. For this reason, its likely you’ll feel very little.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the scar and your body's healing. Normally 2-4 sessions are required, this could be as many as 8 sessions, but this also depends on whether you want to see an improvement or you want it to be barely noticeable. 

How long do I need to wait between treatments?

8 weeks is preferable, your body needs time to do what it does best. You will be surprised at the difference in this time.

I have keloid scars, can they be treated?

Generally the answer is unfortunately no, we don't want to risk making the scar worse. However if you have received injections to flatten the scar I may be able to work on it. It's worth a discussion, so please get in touch.

What is the difference between skin boosters and polynucleotides?
While both are injectables designed to rejuvenate the skin, they work differently:
Skin Boosters are made of Hyaluronic Acid. They act like an internal, deeply hydrating micro-moisturizer, instantly plumping the skin and giving it a radiant, dewy glow.
Polynucleotides are regenerative treatments made of natural DNA fractions. Rather than just hydrating, they physically signal your cells to repair damage, calm inflammation, and produce fresh collagen. They are ideal for treating crepey skin, dark circles, and scarring.

How does hair microneedling help with thinning hair?
Hair microneedling uses ultra-fine needles to create controlled micro-channels on the scalp. This process awakens dormant hair follicles by triggering a rush of blood flow, oxygen, and natural growth factors to the area. When paired with specialized topical serums, it drastically increases their absorption, helping to slow down hair shedding, strengthen existing strands, and promote thicker, healthier hair growth.

Will a chemical peel make my skin visibly peel off?
Not necessarily. The term "peel" refers to the microscopic shedding of dead skin cells, but it doesn’t always mean you will experience heavy flaking. With modern, advanced formulations, incredible results are achieved with minimal down-time. Depending on the strength of the peel chosen for your skin type, you may experience anything from zero visible peeling to a few days of light, manageable flaking that looks like dry skin.

Are these treatments painful?
Most clients find them highly tolerable. Chemical peels may cause a warm, tingling, or itching sensation for a few minutes while active, which quickly subsides. Polynucleotides and skin boosters use ultra-fine needles which are barely detectable.

How many treatments will I need to see results?
While you will notice a brighter complexion after a single session of microneedling or a peel, long-term cellular change requires a progressive approach:
Microneedling & Chemical Peels: A course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results.
Polynucleotides & Skin Boosters: Usually require an initial course of 2 to 3 sessions, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.
Hair Microneedling: Typically requires a consistent course of 4 to 8 sessions to see visible changes in density.

What is the downtime after microneedling?
Downtime is very minimal. Immediately after the treatment, your skin will look and feel like it has a mild sunburn—warm, tight, and flushed. This redness typically subsides dramatically within 24 hours. By day two, any residual pinkness can usually be covered with a clean mineral makeup, and your skin will return to looking completely normal within 3 to 4 days or sooner depending on your skin type.

Can I have these treatments if I have active acne?
If you have active, inflamed, or cystic acne, I cannot perform microneedling directly over those areas. However, chemical peels are an excellent alternative and are highly effective at calming active breakouts and clearing congestion. Once the active acne is under control, I can then introduce microneedling or medical needling to target any remaining acne scars.

How long do the results of skin boosters and polynucleotides last?
Because these treatments stimulate your skin’s natural biological functions rather than physically filling a wrinkle, the results fade gradually as your skin continues its natural aging process. Generally, after your initial loading course, the rejuvenating and hydrating benefits will last between 6 to 9 months. A single maintenance session every 6 months is recommended to keep your skin looking its best.

Can I combine these treatments?
Absolutely—in fact, combining them is often the secret to achieving the best possible results. For example, alternating microneedling with chemical peels is a fantastic way to target both skin texture and pigment. Similarly, following up a microneedling course with polynucleotides provides the skin with the ultimate structural reboot. During your consultation, we will map out a customised, staggered treatment plan that safely blends these therapies for your unique skin goals.

What is the difference between PMU/scalp tattooing and a traditional body tattoo?
While the basic mechanics are similar, the tools, depth, and pigments are completely different. Body tattoos use permanent ink injected deep into the dermis. PMU and Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) use highly specialised, medical-grade pigments designed to stay truer to color over time.These pigments are placed much more superficially in the skin. This ensures the results look soft, natural, and can adapt to the natural changes in your facial structure and hair color as you age.

Is permanent makeup and SMP actually "permanent"?
They are considered semi-permanent or long-lasting. Because the pigment is placed closer to the skin's surface and your skin naturally exfoliates, the color will gradually fade over time.

How do you choose the right color for my brows, lips, or scalp?
Color selection is a meticulous, collaborative process based on science, not guesswork. For eyebrows and scalp work, I analyse your natural hair color, skin undertones, and eyebrow hair density to blend a custom shade that matches perfectly. For lips, together we select a shade that enhances or restores your natural lip border and tone. I always map out the design and agree on the color profile together before any tattooing begins.

What does Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) look like if I am completely bald vs. thinning?
For a completely bald or shaved head: It replicates the look of a clean, full, "buzz-cut" style, seamlessly creating a natural hairline and side profiles.

For thinning hair: I work between your existing hair strands to tattoo the scalp underneath. This minimizes the contrast between your skin and your hair, creating the optical illusion of a much thicker, denser head of hair.

Does the treatment hurt?
We use advanced, medical-grade topical numbing gels throughout permanent makeup and lip treatments to keep you as comfortable as possible—most report it feels like a light vibration or scratch. The scalp is generally less sensitive, so SMP is typically done without numbing; clients often compare the sensation to a light, repetitive tapping.

Why do I need multiple sessions for these treatments?
Layering is the secret to a natural, three-dimensional look. Skin can only absorb a certain amount of pigment in one sitting, and some fading during the initial healing phase is completely normal.

PMU usually requires 2 sessions (the initial appointment and a perfection touch-up 4–6 weeks later).

SMP typically requires 3 to 4 sessions to gradually build up realistic density and depth without overcrowding the pigment points.

What is the healing process and downtime like?
There is virtually no downtime, meaning you can return to work or daily routines immediately.
For Brows/Lips: The color will appear about 30–40% darker and bolder for the first 3 to 5 days. As the skin micro-flakes away, the true, soft, natural color will emerge beneath.
For Scalp: The scalp may look slightly red or flushed for 24 to 48 hours, resembling a mild sunburn, before settling down completely.

Will SMP damage my remaining natural hair follicles?
No, quite the opposite. SMP is performed using specialized, ultra-fine needles that penetrate only the very top layers of the skin. Your natural hair follicles sit much deeper in the dermal layer. The treatment will not damage or inhibit your existing hair growth; in fact, the micro-needling action on the scalp can sometimes stimulate blood flow to the area, which is beneficial for scalp health.

Can permanent makeup or SMP cover up old, poorly done cosmetic tattoos?

In many cases, yes, but it requires a case-by-case assessment. If your old permanent makeup or scalp tattoo has faded significantly, I can often correct the shape and color. However, if the old pigment is very dark, saturated, or deeply scarred, I may need to discuss a few sessions of pigment removal first to ensure I can deliver the clean, natural result you deserve. 

Will I look fake, frozen, or unnatural?
Not at all. The "frozen" or "overfilled" look comes from over-treatment, not the product itself. My philosophy centers on subtle, undetectable enhancements. I target precise muscle groups and anatomical areas to ensure you still look like yourself—just refreshed, well-rested, and completely natural.

How long do the results last?
Because they are different products, they have different lifespans:
Anti wrinkle treatment: Typically lasts between 2 to 4 months as muscle activity gradually returns.
Dermal Fillers: Usually last anywhere from 12 to 18 months, depending on the specific product used and the area treated (for example, lip filler breaks down faster than cheek filler due to constant movement).

Are these treatments painful?
Anti-wrinkle injections use extremely fine needles and take only a few minutes, feeling like a brief, minor pinch. For dermal fillers, I can apply a topical numbing cream beforehand, if this is desired, although its not essential, there is barely any sensitivity, plus the fillers themselves contain a built-in local anesthetic to ensure your comfort throughout the process.

Is there any downtime after getting injectables?
Downtime is minimal, you can return to most normal activities immediately. You may experience slight redness, mild swelling, or tiny bumps at the injection sites, which usually fade within an hour. Minor bruising is always a possibility but can easily be covered with makeup the following day.

Can dermal fillers be reversed if I change my mind?
Yes. The dermal fillers I use are made of Hyaluronic Acid, a temporary sugar molecule naturally found in the human body. Because of this, they can be safely, comfortably, and quickly dissolved.

Am I a good candidate for these treatments?
Injectables are excellent for adult men and women of all skin types who want to address signs of aging, smooth fine lines, or restore facial symmetry. However, they are not suitable if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have certain neurological conditions. I will completely review your medical history during your initial consultation to ensure it is 100% safe for you to proceed.
